De banken in Turkije berekenen de laatste tijd een bepaald bedrag per transactie. De extra kosten van de Turkse bank verschillen per bank en zelfs per geldautomaat. Hier valt dus eigenlijk geen touw aan vast te knopen. Bij de ene bank is het een percentage, bij de ander is het een vast bedrag. Omdat dit ook per pinautomaat verschilt, kunnen we geen duidelijk antwoord geven op hoeveel dit kost. Hou rekening met ongeveer 3% per transactie, dan zit je in ieder geval een beetje in de goede richting. Veel hoger zal het niet zijn en valt het lager uit, dan heb je mazzel!

Bijna overal kun je met een creditcard wel betalen. Sterker nog, voor hotelreservering en een auto huren wordt het zelfs geadviseerd. Een Cceditcard biedt ook nog wat meer voordelen tegenover pinnen met een pinpas. Zo kun je vaak gespreid betalen en zijn je aankopen ook nog eens verzekerd. Geen gedoe tijdens je vakantie naar Turkije. Met een creditcard betaal je makkelijk, simpel en veilig.
Let op: American Express wordt over het algemeen iets slechter geaccepteerd in Turkije.
Ook bij het gebruik van de creditcard in Turkije betaal je vaak extra kosten. Bij de Rabobank is dit bijvoorbeeld €4,50 + 2% koersopslag bij geld opnemen bij een geldautomaat. Toch raden wij het af om met euro te betalen in Turkije. Heb je toch euro’s mee, wissel deze dan om naar Turkse Lira bij een wisselkantoor.
